According to the monthly report of the international nickel Research Organization (insg), the oversupply scale of the global nickel market in June was reduced to 8800 tons, but the oversupply still exceeded that of the same period last year; There was a surplus of 9500 tons in May.
Global primary nickel production decreased by 3.3% to 168000 tons in June and 173500 tons in May. This is still higher than the global consumption of 159200 tons in June.
The agency previously estimated that there was an excess supply of 4900 tons of nickel in May this year. Last June, the global nickel market had an excess of 5200 tons.
In the first half of this year, there was a surplus of 31500 tons in nickel city, a decrease of 4.5% over the same period last year.
Global primary nickel production increased slightly by 0.4% to 983100 tons in the first half of this year, while consumption increased by 0.6% to 951600 tons.
